Why should I be a patreon supporter?
I'll name a character after you. I currently have 56 unnamed characters. There are also locations, animal characters, weapons, and vehicles that are unnamed.

what's up with the names?
Most of the named characters in The 13 Elementals are a reference to other incredible works of storytelling. There are also many quotes and visual references too. Look out for them in each chapter!
What's your process?
I start with storyboards made only of words. Every panel's layout and dialogue is written out ahead of time. I go through several drafts, sharpening and improving each panel until I'm satisfied.

The drawing and editing takes 30-40 hours per chapter. Every panel is handdrawn with pencil and paper on a drawing board. I aim to draw 2 pages (about 10-12 panels) per session.

I then scan each page into my computer, and use (the free version) of Paint to clean up the panels. Last step is to update both the mobile and desktop versions of my site, and make sure everything online is running smoothly!
Is this site your fulltime job?
Definitely feels like it sometimes! I do not make any money from The 13 Elementals. All donations (and mostly my own savings) go towards server costs, supplies, commissions, and YouTube sponsorship.
I work as a frontline hospital worker. Elementals is something I write/draw alongside my main job. Over the last 5 years, it has supplanted the time I would normally spend on my other hobbies. My movie/tv show/videogame queue has grown with each new chapter!
This webcomic is a colossal amount of work. The drawing is very arduous, and while I enjoy the writing a lot, it is also extremely time-consuming. I have almost given up many, many times.
People like you who read my story, join the Patreon, or follow the Instagram all motivate me to keep going. Every time I finally get to release a new chapter, it's the greatest feeling in the world!
